I would like to Thank the people of Greensboro, Greensboro Time
and Yes weekly Readers for given
me the opportunity as well as there support of my time run in this
year 2005 Oct.11 Primaries Election. Now I know why its so  important
for us to be at the table  like Minister Louis Farrakhan said when he
visit here Spet.10,2005.And to know that I was sanding in the past of 1972
I am not the candidate of black America, although I am black
and proud. I am not the candidate of the wo, Shirley Chisholm movement of this
country, although I am a woman, and I am equally proud of that. I am
not the candidate of any political bosses or special interests. I am
the candidate of the people."

The best candidate for the people should be the main concern! Someone
that’s going to have the the ability to build that bridge from the
present leadership to the future leadership! It is paramount to be
connected with both sides!
When this bridge is built a change will occur!
.Now sanding here

I am the candidate of the people

Posted by Lewis Byers in Election Information at 6:53 am | Permanent Link

On January 25, 1972, Shirley Chisholm announced her candidacy for president. She stood before the cameras and in the beginning of her speech she said,

"I stand before you today as a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the Presidency of the United States. I am not the candidate of black America, although I am black and proud. I am not the candidate of the women’s movement of this country, although I am a woman, and I am equally proud of that. I am not the candidate of any political bosses or special interests. I am the candidate of the people."

The best candidate for the people should be the main concern! Someone that’s going to have the the ability to build that bridge from the present leadership to the future leadership! It is paramount to be connected with both sides!
